Job summary

Five Guys in Newport Beach is seeking a Shift Leader to guide operations on each shift, working hands-on from cashier to dining room. You will lead by example, maintaining brand standards while delivering fast, accurate service and a standout guest experience.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Basic math and POS proficiency are expected, with opportunities for growth into higher leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities
