Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to lead daily operations, coach crew, and ensure guest satisfaction. You’ll step in to run shifts, handle multiple roles, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in hospitality with strong communication, a team-first attitude, and solid math/POS skills. Growth opportunities exist as you help train new team members and maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communications skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
