Job summary

Five Guys in Pennsylvania is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations and lead a hands-on team on a fast-paced shift. The role starts at $14.00/hour plus tips and bonus, with growth opportunities and a focus on delivering a great guest experience.

You will jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles while coaching crew members, training new hires, and upholding brand standards for safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
