Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Glen Allen, VA to lead shifts, manage operations, and serve guests with excellence. You will work side-by-side with your team, stepping into any role as needed to keep service fast and accurate.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in restaurant or hospitality, a team-first mindset, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while using POS systems. This role offers growth opportunities within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
