Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in San Diego to guide daily operations on-site, covering cashiers, grills, prep, and dining room tasks. You’ll lead by example, deliver fast and accurate service, and ensure a standout guest experience with a strong team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to motivate staff. This role offers growth into higher management and a fast-paced kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience; leadership preferred.
• Strong communications skills and a team-first mindset.
• Leads by doing and stays calm in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math proficiency and comfort with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Work across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and foster a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
