Shift Lead – Shift Lead Position Profile

The Shift Lead supports the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability. The role involves ensuring effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders, supervising daily operations, managing scheduling, and maintaining quality standards in veterinary care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the veterinary team, ensuring high quality medical care and exceptional client service.
• Assist the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff in developing efficient workflows, achieving practice priorities, and fostering a positive team culture.
• Manage scheduling of associates to meet client needs, planning time off and continuing education requirements.
• Enforce compliance with practice policies, procedures, dress and grooming guidelines, and Banfield protocols.
• Serve as a role model for client education on preventive care plans, hospital services, and marketing campaigns, resolving client issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Availability to work weekend and evening shifts.
• Comfortable working in environments with loud noise and strong odors.
