Job summary

Playa Bowls Jersey Gardens seeks a Shift Lead to support the team in delivering friendly customer service while overseeing prep, service, and cleanliness. You will supervise 2–6 staff, handle cash, and ensure quality and presentation meet brand standards.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Previous managerial experience.
• Critical thinking skills.

• Commitment to 20+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Consistently checking products to ensure consistency and quality.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations.
• Receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure company standards.
• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.
• Maintain food and equipment inventories.
• Train new employees and evaluate employee performances.
• Cash register counts.
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures and maintain accompanying records.

Shift Leads are at the forefront in supporting their teams in providing positive customer service. The job entails: prepping fruit, making frozen fruit bases; smoothies; juices; smoothie bowls, take customer orders, cleaning work stations, and executing effective customer service.
