Job summary

Van Wert Works is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to set up, start, and run molding lines with attention to safety and quality. You will verify equipment readiness, load recipes, and support mold and material changes while troubleshooting defects and maintaining process stability.

The role requires hands-on experience, the ability to work across multiple machines, and strong teamwork during shifts. A technical background in plastics processing is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of hands-on injection molding experience preferred.
• Technical training in plastics processing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, operate, and monitor injection molding machines per approved setup sheets and safety requirements.
• Verify molds, raw materials, robots, dryers, temperature controllers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Load machine recipes and process parameters; perform startups after changes.
• Perform or support mold, material, label, color, and product changeovers per procedures.
• Diagnose and correct common injection molding defects and troubleshoot process-related issues.
• Provide shift technical support and thorough handover to the next shift.
