Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Shift Equipment Engineer to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment.

You will work with process teams, schedule preventive maintenance, and use mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to solve issues in a hands-on fabrication environment. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, knowledge of AC/DC circuits, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Flexibility to work any shift and rotate as needed.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic electronics.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identifies and handles chemicals and hazards in the work area.
• Improves area/shift KPIs by reducing LTD and excursions.
• Drives TPM metrics, MTAGs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with Equipment Owners and Shift Engineers/Technicians to resolve issues.
• Applies DOE and 8D problem solving to identify equipment issues.
• Updates procedures and participates in training and daily execution.
