Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with shift teams, equipment engineers, and vendors to ensure tool performance in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and housekeeping in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off) and adapt to different shifts.
• 2 years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and automation.
• 2 years of experience in using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix and resolve manufacturing equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to identify and address preventative maintenance needs for manufacturing equipment performance.
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements while documenting hardware and process deviations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cleanroom area and ensure proper storage and organization of items.
