Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is hiring for ID1 High Volume Manufacturing Shift Equipment Engineer to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment in partnership with process teams. This hands-on role involves maintenance, installations, and documenting procedures in a fab environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, flexibility to work shifts, and strong skills in AC/DC circuits, electronics, and software tools like Python, Java, Tableau, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Able to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits.
• Intermediate to advanced software skills: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identifies and appropriately handles chemicals and associated hazards in work area.
• Recognizes and reacts appropriately to safety alarms.
• Improving area/shift KPIs by driving LTD reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize overall fab performance.
• Drives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics and MTAGs.
• Partners with Equipment Owners and Shift Engineers/Technicians to implement daily activities to resolve issues that could cause yield loss or downtime.
• Drive root cause analysis to permanent prevention.
• Analyze data with SPC principles to improve process controls and reduce defectivity baselines.
• Apply DOE principles and 8D problem solving to identify equipment issues driving unscheduled down.
• Update or help create procedures to align with area/global practices for training and daily execution.
