Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, is expanding its semiconductor manufacturing footprint and seeks a High Volume Manufacturing Shift Equipment Engineer to monitor, sustain, and improve tool performance in a hands-on fab environment.

You will collaborate with process engineers and technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and drive downtime reductions while documenting procedures and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Flexibility to work and rotate shifts.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic electronics.
• Electrical, vacuum, gas flow and mechanical fundamentals; interpret schematics.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Software skills: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify and handle chemicals and hazards safely.
• Respond to safety alarms.
• Improve KPIs by reducing LTD, MA, excursions.
• Drive TPM culture and MTAGs.
• Collaborate with equipment owners and shift staff to resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Use SPC to improve process controls and reduce defects.
• Apply DOE or 8D problem solving to address unscheduled downtime.
• Update procedures to align with global practices.
• Keep assessor checklists and documents up to date.
