Job summary

The Hotel Hershey is seeking a Shift Coordinator to lead front-of-house staff and ensure smooth service across all restaurant operations.

As a full-time team member, you will supervise host(esses), waitstaff and bar staff, monitor health and sanitation, and collaborate with management on scheduling and guest satisfaction. Benefits include medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and Hersheypark admission.

Responsibilities

• Act as a floor supervisor for host(esses), waitstaff, server assistants, and bar area employees during shift and provide feedback to meet shifting business needs.
• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards for front-of-house staff.
• Maintain guest service and hospitality standards and perform regular table touches to gather feedback from guests.
• Act as liaison to management by observing and reporting day-to-day issues and offering solutions.

The purpose of the shift coordinator is to provide leadership and supervision to front-of-house restaurant staff and assist in managing their assigned restaurant at the Hotel Hershey.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job)

• Act as a floor supervisor for host(esses), waitstaff, server assistants, and bar area employees during shift. Provide feedback and guidance to employees and modify work assignments as needed to meet shifting business needs during shifts.*
• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards for front-of-house restaurant staff.*
• Maintain guest service and hospitality standards through interaction with guests and monitoring employees on the floor. Ensure proper execution of all service standards set by management. Perform table touches regularly throughout the shift to collect feedback from guests.*
• Act as liaison to management through observing and reporting on all issues or concerns that arise day-to-day. Provide feedback to management so they can implement solutions.*
• Assist manager in weekly administrative work such as scheduling and timekeeping. Perform data entry and other assistance as requested. Observe management in order to learn and cross-train.*
• Conduct food service and other training for front-of-house staff in order to set the example for guest-friendly service.*
• Perform other duties as assigned.
