Job summary

Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Full-Time Shift Coordinator to assist the Assistant Manager in the Cocoa Beanery. You will monitor guest service standards, lead F&B training, and ensure accurate cash handling and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related hospitality experience.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Post-Employment - Serv Safe & RAMP.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and support guest service and hospitality standards.
• Lead food and beverage training within the outlet, including regular reviews and updates to training procedures.
• Understand all F&B items offered: ingredients, allergens, methods of preparation and proper service.
• Order and maintain par levels of product inventory; adjust par to forecast as needed.
• Ensure proper cash control procedures are followed daily.
• Maintain all safety, health and sanitation standards.
• Ensure work and service areas are clean and organized; report maintenance needs.
• Cross training and supporting other F&B outlets.
• Control wage and supply costs within budget; develop inventory control measures.
• Assist outlet manager in interviewing potential applicants.
• Assist outlet manager in forecasting business, scheduling staff and preparing weekly payroll.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Hershey Lodge Shift Coordinator position will report to the Assistant Manager in the Cocoa Beanery.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Proactively monitor and support guest service and hospitality standards.*
• Lead food and beverage training within the outlet, including regular reviews and updates to training procedures. Monitors trained skills consistently.*
• Understands all F&B items offered: ingredients, allergens, methods of preparation and proper service.*
• Order and maintain par levels of product inventory. Adjust par to forecast as needed.*
• Ensure proper cash control procedures are followed daily.*
• Maintain all safety, health and sanitation standards.*
• Ensuring the work and service areas are clean and organized; reporting and following up on maintenance needs utilizing interdepartmental communication and the work order system.*
• Cross training and supporting other F&B outlets.
• Controlling wage and supply costs within budget, adjusting to forecast as needed. Develop and maintain inventory control measures.*
• Assist outlet manager in interviewing potential applicants.*
• Assist outlet manager in forecasting business, scheduling staff and preparing weekly payroll.*
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Post-Employment - Serv Safe & RAMP
• Completion of high school or GED

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Night Audit or hotel accounting experience preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to communicate well with both guests and employees.
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions independently.
• Familiarity with computerized front office systems, policies and procedures preferred.
• Must present professional image appropriate to the Hershey Lodge standards.
