Job summary

The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part-Time Team Member to deliver food from kitchen to table, assist servers, and maintain a clean, professional dining area while ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will describe menu items with detail, communicate effectively with guests, and work with the kitchen and service team to provide a seamless dining experience in a luxury resort setting. Perks include free Hersheypark admission, employee parking, and discounts on food and shopping.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Industry Experience - Food & Beverage.
• Knowledge of Forbes and AAA Service standards.

Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner.

Ensure consistent, quality plate presentations for all menu items coming from the kitchen and present to guests with detail. Support the servers in timely delivery of meals to guests.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Deliver food items from kitchen to table with accuracy.*

Job Demands:

This is a part time year round position. The working schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Climbing Ladders Occasional (<33%)

Reaching Forward Frequent (34-66%)

Finger Dexterity Constant (>67%)

This job requires minimal visual requirements. Able to distinguish unlike items, detect motion, and distinguish color.

This job requires a good sense of vision (either corrected or uncorrected). Visual ability to operate moving equipment such as a car, truck, golf carts, etc.

This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.

Must be able to speak and read the English language.

Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (Repetitive motion).

The position is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Must be able to work flexible hours between 4:45-10:30 PM, however additional hours may be needed based on operational demand.

This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
