Job summary

Chalk Point Generating Station in Aquasco, Maryland, seeks a Control Room Supervisor to lead safe, reliable plant operations during the assigned shift, directing startups, monitoring performance, alarms, and troubleshooting.

You will supervise control room staff, coordinate with maintenance and technical personnel, and maintain logs and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in Power Plant Technology or related technical field preferred.
• Extensive power plant operations experience in control room environments.
• Strong knowledge of power generation equipment and systems.
• Experience with combustion and steam turbine operations.
• Knowledge of water chemistry and treatment processes.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot plant equipment and respond to alarms.
• Strong safety and environmental compliance knowledge.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of plant equipment.
• Monitor performance, respond to alarms, and direct corrective actions.
• Lead operations personnel during normal operations and upsets.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, assign work, and support training.
• Maintain operating logs, records, and required data.
• Ensure effective shift turnover and critical communications.
• Coordinate troubleshooting with Maintenance and technical staff.
• Support maintenance/outage activities and lockout/tagout processes.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Lead compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify conditions affecting reliability and safety; implement improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
