Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks a Control Room Supervisor at Chalk Point Generating Station in Aquasco, MD to lead safe, reliable plant operations on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will oversee startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of plant equipment including gas turbines, HRSGs, and steam turbines, while coordinating with maintenance and management.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in power generation, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Power Plant Technology or related field preferred.
• Extensive power plant operations experience including control room operations.
• Experience with gas turbines and combined-cycle systems preferred.
• Knowledge of DCS and plant control systems desirable.
• Strong safety and environmental compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of plant equipment including turbines and generators.
• Monitor plant systems, respond to alarms, and direct corrective actions.
• Lead operations personnel and oversee shift turnover and work allocation.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical staff for outages and troubleshooting.
• Maintain operating logs and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Lead safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs.
