Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of patients.
• Coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure patient safety and care for those in crisis.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and taking on additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
