Job summary

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate medical and nursing care and discharge planning.
• Coordinates psychiatric/medical emergencies to ensure patient safety and proper care for those in crisis.
• Acts as a team member, assisting staff and accepting additional assignments to ensure essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
