Butler Hospital in Providence, RI seeks an RN to provide direct patient care according to ANA psychiatric nursing standards, Butler Hospital policies and the RI Nurse Practice Act.

The role includes participating in treatment planning, coordinating emergencies, collaborating with the care team, administering medications, and serving as Charge Nurse on shifts. Schedule: 36/72 full-time days with every other weekend and two float days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• B.S.N preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsabilités

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of patients.
• Coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure proper care and safety for all patients.
• Assists other staff as a team member and takes on additional assignments to complete patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes the role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
