Job summary

Care New England’s Butler Hospital is seeking a part‑time RN to provide direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric and medical setting, aligned with ANA standards and the RI Nurse Practice Act. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate care within a dynamic treatment environment.

You will participate in treatment planning, coordinate care and discharge, respond to medical or psychiatric emergencies, administer medications, and may serve as Charge Nurse on scheduled shifts,

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
