Job summary

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Bakery Manager works alongside the Bakery Manager to create high-quality cakes, a warm environment, and a superior guest experience. This role shares leadership responsibilities and helps drive sales and profitability while ensuring daily operations meet NbC standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role.
• Demonstrated success coaching others and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes the guest experience and fosters a positive work environment.
• Partners with the Bakery Manager in leading guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control.
• Supports recruiting, selecting and training team members, directing daily work responsibilities, and providing performance feedback.
• Ensures product, service, bakery environment, and visual standards are upheld and safety policies followed.
• Assists with scheduling, basic accounting and payroll processes, and expense control procedures.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for guests and corporate accounts.
• Co-facilitates opening/closing and cash drawer balancing.
• Contributes to local marketing events to support brand presence.
• Maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles to adapt to business needs.
