Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Sciences, or a closely related discipline, with a research focus tied to power semiconductor devices.
• 3+ years of post-degree industrial or advanced academic research experience in silicon power MOSFET design and development.
• Deep theoretical understanding of semiconductor device physics, carrier transport, breakdown mechanisms, and power MOSFET dynamics (UIS, SOA, switching behavior).
• Advanced TCAD Skills: Expertise using the Synopsys TCAD suite for process integration emulation and electrical device characterization.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to present technical data across multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Shielded Gate Design & Architecture: Drive architecture and optimization of low- to medium-voltage silicon power MOSFETs with shielded gate trench structures.
• Synopsys TCAD Simulation: Use Synopsys TCAD (Sentaurus) for 2D/3D simulations to predict electrical characteristics and thermal behavior.
• Layout & Mask Design: Define layout rules, create device structures, and collaborate to generate mask layouts for prototype fabrication.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with process integration to define flows, rules, and variations for manufacturability.
• Characterization & Validation: Analyze electrical test data to validate TCAD models and troubleshoot device performance.
