Job summary

Auberle in Duquesne, PA is hiring a part-time Support Staff member for the Family Emergency Shelter. You will engage individuals and families to support housing goals, gather essential documents, and connect to resources, with shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals and families to support them in achieving their housing goals and addressing their housing needs.
• Work with individuals and families as they enter and stay at the shelter to gather vital documents.
• Identify participants urgent needs such as food, clothing, healthcare, education, and benefits and connect to resources.
• Support participants in finding housing opportunities and completing applications.
• Connect to additional resources such as employment, transportation, childcare.
• Complete household budgets and verify income and expenses.
• Conduct room inspections and ensure compliance with the participant program agreement for all rules and regulations.
