Job summary

Central Arizona Shelter Services, Inc. seeks a frontline Shelter Associate to maintain a safe, orderly environment and assist individuals experiencing homelessness with daily needs.

You will provide information, referrals, and support to empower clients toward permanent housing. Responsibilities include intake processing, HMIS data entry, promoting safety during facility operations, and collaboration with partners to ensure holistic client support.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Moderate proficiency in data entry, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client support and excellent service to clients, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
• Complete new client intakes and explain agency rules and policies.
• Enter data in HMIS accurately and maintain client files.
• Maintain shelter safety by conducting walk-throughs and addressing health and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with Shelter team to ensure smooth operations and shift continuity.
