Job summary

VFP, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented designer to create and modify shelter drawings and structural systems. The role involves interpreting bid letters and customer specs, performing standard calculations, and producing BOMs as drawings progress.

The position requires 2+ years of structural design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering/design experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings for shelter and structural design and ensure accuracy.
• Interpret bid letters and customer specs to develop shelter designs.
• Perform calculations following standard procedures.
• Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) as drawings progress.
• Assist other designers and review team drawings as needed.
• Provide technical support to factory personnel, sales staff or customers.
• Travel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
