Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund is seeking a Social Services Supervisor (Lighthouse) in Long Island City, NY. The role oversees Case Managers serving families in temporary shelter, ensuring adherence to CRF, DHS, OTDA standards and supporting self-sufficiency.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, at least two years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and documentation skills. On-site work with travel within NYC area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with CARES program.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Experience with shelter settings and high-risk families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Case Managers to ensure services support self-sufficiency.
• Provide field orientation and on-the-job training to Case Managers.
• Develop service plans addressing housing, mental health, and employment needs.
• Ensure compliance with CRF, DHS, OTDA policies and timeframes.
• Monitor and document Case Manager activities and outcomes.
• Conduct supervision and performance evaluations for staff.
• Collaborate with social services to address client needs and housing resources.
• Assist families with housing resources and placement as needed.
• Generate reports on client progress and program outcomes.
