Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to lead a team of Case Managers in a Bronx shelter. You will ensure timely documentation, coordinate service plans, and supervise staff to deliver housing, health, and employment supports in line with CRF, DHS, and OTDA standards.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance evaluations, and collaboration with senior management to meet ILP and placement goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work required.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a related field; experience with multi-problem families desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CARES and shelter operations.
• Experience with high-risk families, including mental health, substance abuse, DV, or child welfare.
• Ability to work with diverse community-based providers and networks.
• Strong supervisory, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Case Managers to promote self-sufficiency and independent living for male residents.
• Ensure accurate documentation in CARES and adherence to timelines and policies.
• Provide field orientation and training to Case Managers; supervise performance and provide feedback.
• Develop service plans addressing housing, employment, and health needs; coordinate with DHS/OTDA.
• Conduct regular case conferences, reviews, and evaluations; monitor program compliance.
• Assist families with housing resources and the application process; access housing vouchers as needed.
• Generate and distribute case reports and projections; support crisis management and placement into permanency.
