Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee seeks a Supervisor for our social work team across Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx. The role leads 11 staff (6 MSW/LMSW and 5 Peer Specialists) and engages clients in person within shelter settings.

Responsibilities include crisis management, harm reduction, trauma‑informed care, Narcan trainings, and monthly DHS/OASAS reporting. Requires LCSW and supervisory experience; bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• LCSW required with 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Clinical hours in this position may count toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in a team of 11 social workers and peers across multiple NYC sites.
• Supervise staff using crisis management, Motivational Interviewing, and harm reduction.
• Engage clients with trauma‑informed practices and outreach.
• Conduct screenings and Narcan trainings; provide harm reduction education.
• Document progress notes and provide monthly DHS and OASAS reporting.
• Oversee data entry and reporting in AWARDS and OASAS data systems.
• Coordinate referrals and linkages near clients’ residences.
