Job summary

SJ SOLUTIONS SECURITY & PROTECTION SERVICES INC is looking for a Security Staff member responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients and property at Homeless Shelter sites. You will detect, deter, and report incidents while enforcing facility policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate must possess a NYS Security Guard License and CPR/AED/First Aid certification upon hire. Excellent communication skills and crisis intervention training are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Security Guard License and current 8 Hour Annual Certificate upon hire.
• F02 Certificate of Fitness- Fire Guard for Shelters required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Narcan training preferred within 30 days of employment.
• Prior security experience is a plus.
• Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention is an advantage.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of all clients, staff, and property.
• Interact with clients, maintain good rapport, and enforce facility policies.
• Control access at the main entrance and screen all clients and visitors.
• Perform crisis intervention and document all incidents.
• Make regular rounds throughout the facility.
• Complete logs and incident reports.
• Perform administrative duties at the operations desk.
• Monitor video surveillance and fire prevention systems.
• Ensure safety during fire incidents and evacuations.
