Job summary

VOALA is seeking an entry-level Monitor to provide security for a shelter program and ensure the safety of participants, staff, and visitors. Driving ability is preferred and required for licensed monitors where applicable.

The role requires reporting and documenting incidents, maintaining safety checks, and supporting clients on-site to promote a secure environment. Earn hourly pay between $19.02 and $20.02 with competitive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Must pass a fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Ability to work with potentially challenging clients in VOALA programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shelter entrance and guard against theft; ensure security of premises.
• Screen bags and persons entering shelter to ensure safety.
• Patrol premises and report safety concerns and incidents.
• Assist shelter staff and clients as required and maintain incident logs.
• Drive participants as directed (licensed Monitors) and support program activities.
