Job summary

VOALA, a Volunteers of America affiliate serving Garden Grove and surrounding communities, is seeking an entry-level Monitor to help secure program premises and safeguard clients, staff, and visitors. As the on-site Monitor, you will screen entrances, perform bag checks, patrol the shelter, and assist during emergencies.

Driving ability is preferred to support transportation tasks as needed. This role requires professionalism, respect for participants, and the ability to document daily

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: California driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shelter entrance and screen bags and persons entering shelter.
• Patrol premises to detect signs of intrusion and ensure safety.
• Assist with shelter safety, report safety concerns, emergencies, and incidents.
• Drive participants as directed (license required).
• Complete written reports and logs of daily activities and irregularities.
