Job summary

VOALA is seeking a Monitor II to provide security for shelter premises and client safety. The role includes mentoring junior staff, oversight of safety, and driving tasks when licensed.

The position requires reporting to work on-site daily and coordinating with program staff to maintain secure operations. Applicants should have at least one year of security or related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in general security or related field.
• Ability to supervise and schedule monitors.
• Ability to pass background checks and maintain safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Train Monitors in safety, security operations and procedures.
• Provide ongoing safety leadership and shelter security.
• Monitor shelter entrance and screen bags/people entering.
• Patrol premises and report safety issues and irregularities.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports.
