Job summary

VOALA in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Lead Monitor II to organize, supervise and mentor Monitor staff, ensuring safety for program clients, visitors and employees and protecting program assets in a shelter with over 100 clients. This on-site role includes training, scheduling, and enforcing security and safety protocols; driving tasks may be included if licensed.

The position offers benefits and a pay rate of $22.05–$23.22 per hour, supporting a stable work environment within VOALA's service

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
• One year of college coursework or completion of Careers for a Cause (C4C).
• Experience in mental health/substance abuse or group residential setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, coordinate, supervise, mentor, and oversee Monitor staff.
• Train Monitors in safety and security procedures.
• Monitor shelter safety, client and asset protection, and drive tasks if licensed.

Education

One year of proven college coursework or Careers for a Cause (C4C) completion
