Job summary

Endeavors is seeking a Shelter Monitor to oversee residents, ensure safety, maintain sanitation, and uphold program guidelines within the shelter environment. The role requires in-person presence and a commitment to professional boundaries while collaborating with staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities include maintaining incident records, de-escalation, and assisting residents with problem-solving. 2+ years of relevant experience and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ years working with low-income/at-risk/homeless individuals or vulnerable populations preferred.
• Attendance: Must maintain regular attendance as determined by employer.
• Licenses: Driver's License with a clear record.
• Vehicle: Daily use of a vehicle.
• Work Location: In-Person.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, structured environment that meets client needs while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and management staff.
• Document events and incidents thoroughly and promptly in written records.
• Consult with supervisor on residents' needs and behavior.
• Use positive behavioral management and de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor shelter areas for compliance with rules and procedures.
• Assist residents with problem-solving within limits.
• Travel to various locations as required by business needs.
