Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Family Haven Shelter in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Residential Care Supervisor to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for shelter residents.

You will directly supervise 24-hour Residential Aides and cover RA vacancies as needed. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a starting salary of $58,656 per year, and requires rotating shifts to supervise all RA staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; understanding of homelessness and poverty.
• Must be a team player, self-starter, able to handle several projects with minimum supervision.
• Supervisory experience in a homeless services setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Residential Aides (RA) and PRN staff across all shifts.
• Cover RA vacancies and cover shifts as needed; schedule staffing.
• Provide initial and ongoing training and development of RA/PRN staff.
• Plan and record monthly fire drills; attend weekly Case Managers meetings.
