Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Family Haven Shelter in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Residential Care Supervisor to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents of the Emergency Shelter.

You will provide direct supervision of 24-hour Residential Aides and PRN staff on all shifts, cover RA vacancies, and help recruit, train, and evaluate staff while promoting positive relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field plus relevant experience.
• Supervisory experience in homeless or shelter settings preferred.
• Availability to cover rotating shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Residential Aides (RA) and PRN staff on all shifts.
• Schedule 24-hour RA staffing and substitute for absences when needed.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and annual employee evaluations.
• Maintain resident rosters, bed counts, and data entry in HMIS/SIMS.
• Ensure a welcoming, therapeutic environment and adherence to house rules.
