Job summary

Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Care Support Specialist to work with individuals facing homelessness, recovery, and mental illness. You will participate in daily operations of residential and shelter programs, monitor residents, transport clients, and document outcomes.

This role requires weekend daylight shifts and flexible evening and weekday hours; candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and a PA driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of drug and alcohol recovery and mental illness preferred.
• PA Driver's License with clean driving record required.
• Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operations of our Men's Residential Program, High Commitment Shelter, Emergency Shelter, Meal Ministry, as well as other associated outreach functions.
• Monitor the building and its residents.
• Transporting clients.
• Data entry to document outcomes and allocate resources.
