Job summary

The Salvation Army in St. Louis is seeking a Program Director for Family Haven Shelter. You will provide strategic leadership over daily shelter operations, staff supervision, policy development, and compliance, ensuring 24/7/365 coverage and client-centered services.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with at least three years in residential services and supervisory experience. Strong data reporting and budget collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in residential services.
Three (3) years’ supervisory experience.
Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases).
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and uphold confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee shelter programs including Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing.
Implement trauma-informed care practices and ensure quality assurance and compliance.
Supervise and develop shelter program staff, including hiring, onboarding and evaluation.
Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for contracts and quality assurance.
