Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Sensitivity to the needs of persons who are homeless and from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential 24-hour awake coverage and manage shelter operations.
• Support guests with daily activities, meals, navigation, and transportation.
• Ensure safety and security through checks and clear expectations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies per agency protocols.
• Assist with housekeeping schedules and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain accurate sign-in records and attendance tracking.
• Mediates conflicts and fosters a peaceful shelter environment.
• Assist with donations, events, and a welcoming volunteer culture.
