Job summary

The Salvation Army Biloxi shelter is seeking a part-time security and housing assistant to support residents and ensure a safe, well‑ordered environment. You will accept residents, monitor activities on shift, and maintain logs while enforcing house rules and handling inquiries about shelter operations.

Inspect rooms and safety equipment, supervise resident duties, patrol the facility, and assist with housekeeping for the Center of Hope and transitional housing to keep the site clean and secure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year security or social service experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Accept residents and monitor safety on shift; maintain logs.
• Inspect rooms and safety equipment; patrol facility.
• Assign duties to residents and enforce house rules.
• Answer calls and inform about lodge operations.
• Perform housekeeping for Center of Hope and transitional housing.
