Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Eastside Shelter is seeking a Part-Time Shift Supervisor in Rosedale, MD.

This role provides 24-hour awake coverage, supervising staff, volunteers, and guests, and coordinating daily shelter operations including intake, housing assignments, and HMIS data entry. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience with homeless populations, plus crisis intervention or conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of experience serving homeless populations, with emphasis on women and children.
• Experience in crisis intervention, behavior management, or conflict resolution is required.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals in a non-judgmental manner.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to staff, volunteers, and guests.
• Coordinate and schedule daily services (laundry, showers, chores, token distribution) and related coverage.
• Oversee attendance, bed utilization, and HMIS data entry; monitor on-call staff needs.
