Job summary

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency is seeking a Lead Site Assistant (Float) to support ARCHES shelters in Polk and Marion counties. You will oversee daily shelter operations, assist clients, train volunteers, collect data, and coordinate with staff.

This role requires strong customer service, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for night shifts Wednesday through Sunday. A high school diploma and driving eligibility are required; background checks and drug screenings are

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook) and web tools.
• Ability to be positive, cooperative, and empathetic when working with clients and staff.
• Strong communication, tact, and diplomacy in formal and informal settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for the shift.
• Train incoming staff and volunteers on duties and policies.
• Facilitate communication between Site Assistants and volunteers.
• Align team with program goals and culture.
• Ensure data collection and HMIS data entry accuracy.
• Answer questions and aid coworkers as needed.
• Provide cleaning, site upkeep, and basic supportive services.
• Engage in community outreach and resources sharing.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and coworkers.
