Job summary

MWVCAA seeks a Lead Site Assistant (Float) to support shelter operations for the homeless at ARCHES shelters in Polk and Marion counties. You will lead daily tasks, assist clients with navigation to resources, and manage data entry and reporting, while training site assistants and volunteers.

The role requires lifting, driving to sites, and a commitment to trauma-informed care. This full-time position offers growth opportunities within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in customer service, social services, or other client‑facing roles.
• Preferences given to applicants with experience working with people experiencing homelessness or in healthcare/community services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for the shift.
• Train incoming staff and volunteers on duties, processes, and policies.
• Facilitate communication between Site Assistants and volunteers.
• Focus on program goals and promote positive culture.
• Ensure data collection and HMIS data entry for service usage.
• Answer guest questions and connect to local resources.
• Maintain boundaries with clients and coworkers.
