Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada seeks a Manager of Emergency Shelter Operations to lead the swing shift, oversee shelter processes, and coordinate with case management to enroll participants. This role emphasizes housing-first, trauma-informed, client-centered approaches and requires strong staff leadership and safety oversight.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Social/Human Services or equal experience in a similar field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shelter operations or related field.
• Two years of management experience. (Required)
• Flexible schedule to work beyond regularly scheduled time or shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage swing/grave shift daily operations including scheduling and crisis management.
• Oversee bed assignment, clothing, toiletries, referrals, and participant enrollment.
• Lead staff, monitor safety, and ensure trauma-informed, client-centered service.
• Maintain accurate records and statistics, and coordinate with other programs.
• Develop procedures for safe environment and respond to incidents.
