Job summary

Catholic Charities Of LA is seeking an experienced Shelter Administrator to lead two Interim Housing sites for women experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. You will oversee operations, admissions, bed utilization, and staffing while ensuring safety, dignity, and adherence to Housing First and trauma-informed care principles.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and collaboration with program leadership to sustain high-quality services and funding compliance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years in homeless services, intensive case management, or housing programs serving vulnerable populations.
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Housing First, Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, and participant-centered practices.
• Strong leadership, crisis-management, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse backgrounds using cultural humility.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between program locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of two shelter sites and ensure policy adherence.
• Coordinate admissions, occupancy, transfers, exits, and bed utilization.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage and respond to operational emergencies.
• Supervise Residence Supervisors and Maintenance staff; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, HMIS, and funding requirements.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and support quality assurance and audits.
