Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada seeks a Security Manager to oversee daily security for shelter operations and protect personnel, property, information, and visitors. The role advises the Assistant Director of Security on mitigation and logistics for all Security Services programs, with emphasis on shelter-related programs.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, investigations, payroll, and enforcing safety rules while maintaining excellent guest relations and compliance with NV

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• An Associate’s degree in security administration, industrial security, criminal justice or other related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
• Three years’ management experience in security operations and/or administration of similar homeless shelter security operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day staffing and procedures of the security operations personnel and campus security during assigned shifts.
• Promote and instill a culture of inclusiveness, coach and lead the team by providing positive support and guidance, and holding staff accountable.
• Schedule the security operations personnel while managing manpower requirements as economically as possible.
• Coordinate security procedures with other departments and agencies as needed.
• Conduct and support investigations of incidents and damages to agency personnel, property and information.
• Ensure good customer service and effectively resolve any guest issues that arise.
• Assist with the establishment of a training program for shelter security operations personnel and conduct ongoing training for security operations personnel.
• Provide input and administer staff performance evaluations.
• Protect all confidential information, Agency property and electronic data. Comply with safety rules.
