Job summary

Anovaeon LLC is seeking a Shelter Operations Supervisor to lead 24/7 shelter operations in Lexington, KY, coordinating staffing, vendors, and partners while ensuring safety and compliance. This 5-month contract runs from 11/01/2026 to 04/01/2027 with no benefits.

The role acts as the on-site operational leader in the Shelter Manager's absence, requiring flexible scheduling, emergency response, and strong leadership to support guest services and compliance with City directives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred; HS diploma required.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in shelter operations or related field.
• Experience with HMIS or similar case management databases.
• Experience coordinating with multiple vendors and community partners.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident for past five years.
• Available for 24/7 on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 24/7 primary on-site contact in absence of Shelter Manager.
• Maintain shelter safety, security, and compliance with City directives.
• Respond to emergencies and disruptions at any hour.
• Coordinate emergency response with law enforcement, fire department, and medical services.
• Ensure 24/7 staffing coverage and correct staff-to-guest ratios.
• Supervise Shelter Support Specialists and other staff.
• Prepare staffing forecast reports for leadership.
• Oversee HMIS guest intake and data entry.
