Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division seeks a Residential Support Specialist at Bloomington Corps to support homeless services in a secure environment. You will assist with client intake, bed assignments, and daily operations alongside staff and volunteers.

You will help maintain records, coordinate meals, and ensure safety and policy compliance while working 15–19 hours per week in a part-time role at the Bloomington location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; significant experience may be considered in lieu of.
• Experience in Social Services environment encouraged.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Answering calls and providing information as needed.
• Document daily activity and incident reports.
• Coordinate volunteers and ensure meals meet health standards.
• Determine client eligibility and conduct intake paperwork.
• Maintain safety and enforce program policies.
