Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience performing security or social service work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors shelter clients to ensure safety, comfort, and compliance with house rules.
• Assists with inclement weather shelter operations, including preparing sleeping and dining areas and managing client check-in.
• Distributes items for clients' use (e.g., blankets) and maintains cleanliness of sleeping and dining areas.
• Performs shelter census and ensures all clients are accounted for when exiting.
• Maintains a log of shelter incidents and emergencies.
